# Accounts & Subscriptions

LaunchPulse uses a subscription model built around **monthly AI credits**.

Your plan determines how many credits you receive each month, what product capabilities you can access, and whether you can deploy, download code, or use custom domains.

<Info>
  LaunchPulse credits are used across core product experiences, including app building, screenshot generation, and AI app research workflows.
</Info>

## Plans at a glance

* AI App Store screenshot generator access
* Live preview

**Best for:**

* exploring the product
* trying smaller builds
* testing the workflow before upgrading
* generating a limited number of screenshot or research outputs

<Warning>
  The Free plan is for trying LaunchPulse. It does **not** include everything needed to fully ship and deploy a production app.
</Warning>

### Starter

The Starter plan is the main paid entry point for builders who want to move from experimentation to real shipping.

**Included on Starter:**

* 200,000 AI credits per month
* unlimited projects
* live preview and testing
* LaunchPulse Cloud
* publish to iOS App Store and Android Play Store
* one-click deployment for websites and web apps
* custom domains
* workspace / collaboration
* download code
* unlimited app store screenshot downloads

**Best for:**

* shipping websites and web apps
* building real SaaS products
* preparing mobile apps for release
* downloading and owning the generated code
* using LaunchPulse beyond basic experimentation

### Builder

The Builder plan is for users who need more capacity, stronger testing, and more advanced build workflows.

**Included on Builder:**

* everything in Starter
* 500,000 AI credits per month
* project sharing / stronger collaboration workflows
* autobuild
* advanced browser testing
* priority support

**Best for:**

* serious app builders
* heavier monthly usage
* faster iteration loops
* more demanding testing workflows
* teams or users who need more capacity and support

## What credits are used for

Credits power the AI-driven parts of LaunchPulse.

They are commonly used for:

* building and updating apps
* generating product flows and screens
* AI App Store screenshot generation
* AI app discovery / AI app research workflows
* mobile AI research outputs
* larger or repeated build iterations

<Tip>
  If you are using LaunchPulse heavily for screenshot generation or AI app discovery, you may use credits faster than a light web-app user.
</Tip>

## What paid plans unlock

A paid subscription is important because it unlocks the parts of LaunchPulse used for actually shipping and owning the result.

| Capability                      | Free               | Starter    | Builder    |

| Custom domains                  | No                 | Yes        | Yes        |
| Publish mobile apps             | No                 | Yes        | Yes        |

## Important subscription rule

Without a **paid subscription**, users cannot use the main shipping features.

<Warning>
  If you do not have a paid subscription, you cannot:

  * deploy your project
  * download the code
  * connect a custom domain
</Warning>

This means the Free plan is great for trying LaunchPulse, but real production shipping starts on a paid plan.

## Add-on credits

If a user runs out of monthly credits, LaunchPulse also offers **credit add-ons**.

These are useful for users who:

* need extra capacity before their monthly reset
* generate many screenshots
* do a lot of AI app discovery or research
* run heavier build sessions
* do not want to upgrade plans yet but need more credits right now

### Credit add-ons currently shown

| Add-on       | Price |
| ------------ | ----: |
| 50K credits  |   \$5 |
| 100K credits |   \$9 |
| 500K credits |  \$39 |
| 1M credits   |  \$69 |

<Info>
  Credit add-ons are one-time purchases designed to give users more room when they run out of monthly credits.
</Info>

## Monthly vs annual billing

If annual billing is enabled, users can save compared with paying month-to-month.

Based on the current pricing shown in the workspace:

| Plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing equivalent |
| ------- | --------------: | -------------------------------: |
| Starter |      \$19/month | about \$15/month billed annually |
| Builder |      \$49/month | about \$39/month billed annually |

This makes annual billing a good fit for users who already know LaunchPulse is part of their normal workflow.

## Common account questions

### What happens if I run out of credits?

You can either:

* wait for your monthly credits to reset, or
* purchase add-on credits

If you use LaunchPulse often for screenshots, app research, or repeated iterations, add-ons can help you keep moving without interruption.

### Do screenshots use credits?

Yes. The screenshot workflow is credit-based.

### Does AI app discovery / mobile AI research use credits?

Yes. These workflows are also credit-based.

### Can I deploy on the Free plan?

No. Deployment requires a paid subscription.

### Can I download code on the Free plan?

No. Code download requires a paid subscription.

### Can I use a custom domain on the Free plan?

No. Custom domains require a paid subscription.

### Which plan should most users start with?

Most serious users should start with **Starter**. It is the main plan for people who want to move from experimenting to actually shipping.

## Example account journeys

### New user trying LaunchPulse

1. Starts on Free
2. Uses 10,000 credits to test the workflow
3. Tries live preview
4. Generates some screenshot or research outputs
5. Upgrades to Starter when ready to ship

### Builder shipping a real app

1. Upgrades to Starter
2. Builds multiple projects
3. Uses testing and live preview
4. Deploys a website or web app
5. Downloads code
6. Connects a custom domain

### Heavy user with larger monthly needs

1. Upgrades to Builder
2. Uses more credits each month
3. Uses advanced browser testing
4. Uses autobuild

## What makes a good subscriptions page

A strong subscriptions page should make it easy for users to understand:

* what they get on each plan
* how many credits they receive
* what those credits are used for
* which plan unlocks deployment and code access
* what to do when they run out of credits
* whether they should choose Free, Starter, or Builder
